Abstract

Cilj specijalističkog rada je napraviti pregled stanja IoT (Internet stvari, engl. Internet of things) tehnologije, opisati prednosti i mane, navesti pregled izazova s kojima se možemo susresti prilikom njenog korištenja. Analizirati mogućnosti i prilike za primjenu IoT tehnologije u industriji osiguranja. U radu je predstavljena analiza tržišta primjene IoT tehnologije u osiguranju u Republici Hrvatskoj i odabranoj razvijenoj zemlji Europske unije (Italija) s pregledom proizvoda u kojima se koristi IoT tehnologija. Metodologija analize zasniva se na pregledu tržišta, analizi dostupnih podataka o proizvodima sa Internet stranica osiguravajućih društava. Analiza pokazuje da IoT tehnologija nije dovoljno razvijena u industriji osiguranja ne samo u Republici Hrvatskoj, već i u Italiji i da se ne primjenjuje dovoljno. Osiguravajuća društva koja žele opstati na tržištu moraju se tehnološki transformirati i iskoristiti puni potencijal IoT tehnologije.

Abstract (english)

The goal of the specialist's thesis work is to make an overview of IoT (Internet of things) technology, to describe the advantages and disadvantages and to provide an overview of the challenges that we may encounter when using it. Analyze the possibilities and opportunities for the use of IoT technology in the insurance industry. The work presents an analysis of the market for the application of IoT technology in insurance industry in the Republic of Croatia and a selected developed country of the European Union (Italy) with an overview of products where IoT technology is used. The analysis methodology is based on a market review, analysis of available data about products from insurance companies websites. The analysis shows that IoT technology is not sufficiently developed in the insurance industry, not only in the Republic of Croatia, but also in Italy, and that it is not sufficiently applied. Insurance companies that want to survive in the market must transform technologically and use the full potential of IoT technology
