Abstract

Udaljeno učenje putem Interneta danas više nije novost ni u svijetu, niti u Hrvatskoj. Postojeći obrazovni programi su interaktivni, multimedijalni, omogućuju samoučenje, samotestiranje i interakciju s mentorom. Međutim, vrlo je malo sustava koji se prilagođuju studentu prateći njegov napredak i njegove odgovore na pitanja. Takvo prilagođivanje studentu naziva se adaptivno testiranje i adaptivno podučavanje. U ovom radu dan je pregled postojećih slobodno dostupnih i komercijalnih alata za učenje i testiranje koji se prilagođuju polazniku po njegovom znanju i obrazovnim ciljevima. Svi su ti alati zasnovani na web tehnologiji, te ih zbog njihove adaptivnosti možemo nazvati i adaptivnom hipermedijom. Različiti alati koriste različite metode za adaptivnost. Rješenje, koje je opisano u ovom radu, koristi se za svoju adaptivnost, primjenom teorije prostora znanja koja je također opisana u radu. Jezgru sustava čini baza podataka koji sadrži strukturirani model mogućih stanja znanja u određenom području. Ispitanici preko hipertekstualnog sučelja komuniciraju sa sustavom u cilju procjenjivanja svojih predznanja za daljnju organizaciju svojeg obrazovanja. Sustav im na kraju predlaže redoslijed tečajeva koje trebaju pohađati, te im ispiše one cjeline gradiva (čestice znanja) na koje trebaju posebno obratiti pažnju, jer nisu znali odgovore na pitanja vezane uz te cjeline. Sustav je razvijan i testiran na konkretnom prostoru znanja kojeg pokrivaju tečajevi za obrazovanje korisnika CARNeta i SRCA.

Abstract (english)

Distance learning via Internet is not a novelty anymore, neither in the world, nor in Croatia. Existing education software programs are interactive, multimedial, provide self-learning, self-testing and interaction with the tutor. Nevertheless, there are few adaptive systems which track student progress and his/her answers on questions. Such adaptation to student is called adaptive testing and adaptive teaching. There is, in this thesis, a review of existing free and commercial adaptive hypermedia tools for learning and testing. They are adaptive to the student according to her/his knowledge and learning goals. Different tools use different methods and tools for their adaptability. The system, which is described in this thesis, uses knowledge space theory to reach testing adaptability. The system core is a database, describing a structured model of possible knowledge states in a certain field. Student communicates with the system via hypertextual interface. The goal of this communication is to evaluate student’s prerequisite knowledge and to give an advice for further education. System proposes the order of courses and writes the list of topics (knowledge fragments), which are not in a student’s knowledge state. In the other words, these are topics, which are not known by the student, and he/she should learn or repeat them. System is developed and tested on actual knowledge space of CARNet and SRCE courses for users education.
