Abstract

Ovaj rad analizirao je arhitekturni obrazac orijentiran na poruke. Objašnjene su osnovne komponente ovog tipa sustava.
Opisani su uobičajeni protokoli za razmjenu poruka. Analizirana su dva binarna protokola za razmjenu poruka (AMQP, MQTT) i jedan tekstualni (STOMP). Opisana je razmjena informacija u ovim protokolima, format poruke koji očekuju i redoslijed razmjene poruka.
Osnovne komponente arhitekturnog obrasca orijentiranog na poruke su poruka i posrednik poruka. Posrednici poruka pružaju implementacije protokola za razmjenu poruka. Predstavljeno je pet najčešće korištenih posrednika poruka (Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, NATS, Apache Kafka). Navedeni su uobičajeni primjeri upotrebe svakog posrednika poruka. Objašnjene su komponente od kojih se sastoje. Posrednik poruka sadrži temu (topic) i/ili red (queue) kao sredstvo za razmjenu poruka između proizvođača (izdavača) poruka i korisnika (pretplatnika) poruka. Opisan je način na koji se poruke razmjenjuju između ovih komponenti. Na kraju, spomenute su napredne značajke specifične za svaki posrednik poruka.
U sklopu rada, implementiran je sustav koji služi kao primjer arhitekture orijentirane na poruke. Središnja komponenta arhitekture je Spring Boot aplikacija koja komunicira s Apache Kafka posrednikom poruka i dodatnim vanjskim komponentama. Prikazana su dva primjera korištenja takve komponente: chat aplikacija u React razvojnom okviru i visoko-propusni proizvođač poruka u programskom jeziku Golang.

Abstract (english)

This thesis provided an overview of the message-oriented architectural pattern. The core components of this type of systems were explained.
An overview of common messaging protocols was provided. Two binary messaging protocols (AMQP, MQTT) and one text-based (STOMP) were analyzed. The exchange of information in these protocols, message format they expect, and the message exchange order were described.
The core components of the message-oriented architectural pattern are the message and the message broker. Message brokers provide implementations of messaging protocols. Five commonly used message brokers (Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, NATS, Apache Kafka) were introduced. Common use cases for each broker were listed. The components they consist of were explained. A message broker contains a topic and/or queue as a means of exchanging messages between message producers (publishers) and message consumers. The way messages are exchanged between these components was described. Finally, broker-specific advanced features were mentioned.
An example of a message-oriented architecture was implemented. The central component of the architecture is a Spring Boot application which communicates with the Apache Kafka broker and additional external components. Two uses cases of such a component were explained: a chat application in the React framework, and a high-throughput message producer in Golang programming language.
