Abstract

Ovaj rad proučava povezanost koroninih izbačaja s padom broja galaktičkih kozmičkih zraka odnosno s Forbushevim smanjenjem. Također cilj ovog rada je razumjeti kako koronini izbačaji preko Forbushevog smanjenja utječu na telekomunikacijske sustave na Zemlji i u Zemljinoj atmosferi. Iz tog razloga izabrani su koronini izbačaji koji su pogodili Zemlju. Promatranjem koroninih izbačaja u blizini Sunca dobivena su njihova obilježja, a isto je obavljeno i u blizini Zemlje. Usporedbom obilježja koroninih izbačaja prije i nakon puta kroz međuplanetarni prostor te mjerenja broja galaktičkih kozmičkih zraka istraženo je kako određena obilježja utječu na Forbushevo smanjenje. Telekomunikacijski sustavi u Zemljinoj atmosferi su izloženi većoj količini Sunčevog zračenja koje ima dobar i loš utjecaj na njih.

Abstract (english)

This paper studies the relationship between coronal mass ejections and the decline in the number of galactic cosmic rays which is called Forbush decrease. Also the goal of this paper is to understand how coronal mass ejections affect telecommunication systemson Earth and in Earth's atmosphere through Forbush decreases. For this reason only coronal mass ejections that hit Earth were chosen. Characteristics of coronal mass ejections were obtained by observing them near the Sun and near the Earth as well. By comparing the characteristics of coronal mass ejections before and after their journey through interplanetary space and measuring the number of galactic cosmic rays we looked how certain characteristics impact the Forbush decrease. Telecommunication system sin Earth's atmosphere are exposed to a larger amount of Sun's radiation which has both benefits and downsides.
