Abstract

U svrhu zaštite podataka na mrežnom sloju referentnog OSI modela koristi se protokol IPsec. Protokol IPsec osigurava osnovne sigurnosne zahtjeve: autentičnost, tajnost i cjelovitost. Protokol IPsec može biti konfiguriran u tunelskom ili transportnom načinu rada. Transportnim načinom štiti se samo polje podataka IP-datagrama dok se tunelskim načinom rada štiti cijeli IP-datagram. Protokol IPsec implementiran je programskim paketom strongSwan na sustavu IMUNES. Ostali konfiguracijski parametri su: algoritam šifriranja, algoritam računanja sažetka i modulo prime groups. Programskim ostvarenjem kreiranja različitih konfiguracija protokola IPsec na sustavu IMUNES na operacijskim sustavima Linux i FreeBSD dobili smo očekivane rezultate. Povećanjem veličine paketa raste i vrijeme prolaska paketa kroz mrežu. Postoje i razlike u pojedinim konfiguracijama protokola IPsec koje za velike pakete daju velika vremenska odstupanja. Skripte za konfiguraciju protokola IPsec na sustavu IMUNES dostupne su korisniku i jednostavnim korištenjem ostvaruje zaštićenu mrežu ili generaciju različitih testnih topologija zaštićenih protokolom IPsec.

Abstract (english)

Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) ensures all three Information Security Attributes: Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA). IPsec works on the Internet layer of the Internet protocol suite model. There are two IPsec implementations models: tunnel and transport. IPsec is implemented on the IMUNES. The strongSwan packages are used to configure IPsec on IMUNES system. Counting connection type, there are three more configuration parameters for IPsec: encryption algorithm, integrity check algorithm and modulo prime groups. The tested cases of different IPsec configurations on the IMUNES system under Linux and FreeBSD OS gave expected results. Increasing package size increases the package travel time. There are also differences in some IPsec configurations. All IMUNES IPsec configuration scripts are available for the user. The user can easily set up a network with IPsec or create different test topologies.
