Abstract

U prvom poglavlju razrađuje se osnovni Solowljev model ekonomskog rasta. Objašnjava se kako izgleda funkcija proizvodnje u gospodarstvu te kako se mijenja kapital kroz vrijeme. Uvodi se pojam stabilnog stanja, stanje u koje svako gospodarstvo konvergira nakon nekog vremena i tamo ostaje. Proučava se kako će promjena stope štednje utjecati na rast gospodarstva i zašto će gospodarstvo nekih država rasti brže od drugih. U drugom poglavlju u model se uvodi rast populacije. Gleda se kako će rast populacije utjecati na gospodarstvo. Pokazano je kako gospodarstvo države s manjom stopom rasta populacije rastu brže nego države s većom stopom. Kako bismo objasnili dugoročan rast, rast u stabilnom stanju, u trećem poglavlju uvodimo tehnološki napredak u model te tako dobivamo naš konačni oblik modela. Uvođenjem tehnološkog napretka gospodarstvo u stabilnom stanju doći će na stazu ravnomjernog rasta gdje će prihodi i output po radniku rasti konstantno.

Abstract (english)

In first chapter basic Solow model of economic growth is defined. Explanation of production function in economy and change of capital through time is given. Term steady state is introduced as a state to which, through time, every economy converges to and stays there. It is shown how can change in savings rate affect economic growth and why will economy of some country grow faster than some other countries. In second chapter population growth is introduced in the model. It is shown how will growth of population affect economy. Also, it is shown that economy of countries with lower rate of population grow faster than countries with higher rate. To explain long-run economic growth, in steady state, in third chapter we are adding technological progress to the model and that is how we define out final form of model. Adding technological progress to economy, in steady state economy will find itself on balanced growth path where income and output per person will grow constantly.
