Abstract

802.11ax je (u trenutku pisanja) najnoviji standard prijenosa podataka u lokalnim bežičnim mrežama koji je dostupan krajnjim korisnicima. Ovaj standard se također naziva i WiFi 6 jer obilježava šestu iteraciju WiFi standarda. 802.11ax donosi mnoga poboljšanja u odnosu na prethodni 802.11ac, a drastično je poboljšan u odnosu na trenutno najzastupljeniji 802.11n standard.
Uvođenjem BSS coloring-a omogućuje se razlikovanje paketa po pristupnim točkama „bojanjem“ paketa. Uz BSS coloring, uvodi se i potpuna implementacija MU-MIMO. Dakle, puna podrška za UL MU-MIMO i DL MU-MIMO. Potreba za punom implementacijom proizlazi iz raznih potreba propusnosti različitih uređaja, npr. pametni hladnjak i prijenosno računalo imaju vrlo različite potrebe propusnosti.
WiFi 6 je, unatoč svojoj dostupnosti, vrlo slabo zastupljen u neprofesionalnim okruženjima. Razlog slabe zastupljenosti je cijena usmjerivača i pristupnih točaka. Pružatelji internetskih usluga najčešće odabiru najjeftinija rješenja za svoje klijente, što uzrokuje lošije iskustvo korištenja bežične mreže.

Abstract (english)

802.11ax is(at the time of writing) the newest standard for data transmission in local wireless networks available to end users. This standard is also called WiFI 6 because it marks the sixth iteration of the WiFi standard. 802.11ax brings many improvements over the previous 802.11ac, and drastically improves the most prevalent 802.11n standard.
The introduction of BSS coloring enables the differentiation of packets by access points by "coloring" the packets. In addition to BSS coloring, the full implementation of MU-MIMO is being introduced, meaning, full support for UL MU-MIMO and DL MU-MIMO. The need for full implementation stems from the different bandwidth needs of different devices, e.g., a smart fridge and a laptop have very different bandwidth needs.
WiFi 6, despite its availability, is very underrepresented in non-professional environments. The reason for the poor representation is the price of routers and access points. Interne service providers most often choose the cheapest solutions for their customers, which causes a worse experience of using a wireless network.
