Abstract

Poznavanje specifične aktivnosti primarnog hladioca bitno je za ocjenu normalnog pogona PWR elektrane i inicijalna je pretpostavka za analizu radioloških posljedica nuklearnih nesreća.
U zadatku su proučeni mehanizmi nastanka i oslobađanja radioaktivnog materijala iz goriva u normalnom pogonu, aktivacije nečistoća i samog primarnog hladioca. Analizirane su jednadžbe radioaktivnog raspada i način na koje su one iskorištene za računanje ravnotežne aktivnosti. Uzeti u obzir mehanizmi transporta i pročišćavanja primarnog hladioca. Opisani ulazni podaci i način korištenja programa za računanje specifične aktivnosti primarnog hladioca, PWR-GALE, koristeći generičke podatke.

Abstract (english)

The knowledge of primary coolant specific activity is important during normal plant operation and it is required to estimate radiological consequences of reactor accidents.
The objective of the thesis was to study mechanisms of production of radioactive isotopes in reactor fuel and their release to primary coolant, activation of coolant impurities as well as activation of the coolant and chemical additives. It was required to analyze equations of radioactive decay and their use in calculation of equilibrium activity. In addition, the influence of coolant transport processes and clean-up of the coolant was taken into account. The thesis described input data and calculation procedure, as implemented in PWR-GALE computer code, when calculation of generic NPP primary coolant specific activity is performed.
