Abstract

Simulatori optičke mreže se koriste u svrhu analize, provjere performansi i planiranje topologija zasnovanih na mrežnim komponentama. Postojeća rješenja su većinom komercijalna ili ne omogućuje grafički prikaz topologije optičke mreže. U okviru ovog rada razvijena je web-aplikacija optičkog simulatora. Putem web-preglednika omogućeno je grafičko stvaranje topologije mrežnim komponentama i računanje snage signala. Topologije je moguće pohraniti u bazu podataka. Implementirane optičke komponente za kreiranje mreže su prijamnik, predajnik, optičko vlakno, optički filter, pojačalo, valni pretvornik,prospojnik, sprežnik, rasprežnik, multipleksor, demultipleksor i multipleksor s dodavanjem i oduzimanjem. Na poslužiteljskoj strani aplikacije korišten je programski jezik Java i okruženje Spring Boot. Poslužiteljski dio povezan je s relacijskom bazom PostgreSQL. Klijentski dio napravljen je u programskom jeziku JavaScript i njegovom bibliotekom React. Za implementaciju grafičkog prikaza, povezivanje i pozicioniranje mrežnih čvorova koriste se biblioteka React Flow.

Abstract (english)

Optical network simulators are often used to analyze, check performance, and plan topologies based on network components. Existing solutions are primarily commercial or do not offer a graphic display. The current solutions are primarily commercial or do not allow for a graphical representation of the optical network topology. Within this paper, an optical simulator web application was developed. It creates a topology with network components and calculates signal power within the web browser. Network component topologies can be stored in a database. Implemented optical components for creating a network are receiver, transmitter, optical fiber, optical filter, amplifier, wave converter, switch, coupler, spreader, multiplexer, demultiplexer and multiplexer with addition and subtraction. A Java programming language and Spring Boot framework are used for the backend implementation. The backend is connected with PostgreSQL relational database. A JavaScript and React library are used for the frontend part of the web application. The React Flow library is used to implement graphic display, connections and positioning of the network nodes.
