Abstract

U ovom radu opisana su svojstva vodika kao elementa te su s obzirom na njih uočene mogućnosti široke primjene vodika, koje podupiru regulatorne odrednice i zahtjeve za smanjenjem ugljika i štetnih ispušnih plinova . Navedeni su načini proizvodnje, skladištenja i korištenja vodika. Objašnjene su podjele raznih tehnologija proizvodnje vodika kao i podjele i karakteristike gorivnih članaka. Korištenje je promatrano u transportu i energetskom sektoru – za dobivanje električne energije i za grijanje. Opisana je važnost vodikove uloge u budućem niskougljičnom energetskom sustavu te načini njegovog postupnog prodiranja u sadašnje tehnologije. Izrađen je jednostavan optimizacijski model u kojem se vodik proizvodi pomoću električne energije obnovljivih izvora te troši na mjestu krajnjih potrošača.

Abstract (english)

This thesis describes the properties of hydrogen as an element by taking into consideration the wide range of hydrogen applications that support the regulatory determinants and requirements for reduced carbon and harmful exhaust gases. Furthermore, the methods of production, storage and usage of hydrogen are listed. Different hydrogen production technologies have been described, as well as the distribution and characteristics of fuel cells. Hydrogen use has been observed in the transport and energy sector for electricity and heating. The importance of hydrogen's role in the future low-carbon energy system and its gradual application in the current technology have been summerised. A basic optimization model was developed which describes the production of hydrogen from renewable electric energy and its consumption at the end consumer premises.
