Abstract

U okviru rada napravljena je web aplikacija za generiranje dihotomskog identifikacijskog ključa koji služi kao pomoć pri identifikaciji biljaka, životinja i drugih organizama. Osim generiranja ključa, aplikacija omogućuje uvoz i izvoz podataka u standardiziranom SDD formatu, definiranje i uređivanje svojti i opisnih atributa, interaktivnu identifikaciju, pregled podataka te usporedbu svojti i grupa svojti u obliku matrice. Abstract (english)

The goal of this thesis is the development of a web application which generates a dichotomous identification key. This key serves as an aid in the identification of plants, animals and other organisms. In addition to generating keys, the application allows the import and export of data in a standardized SDD format, the defining and editing of taxons and descriptors, interactive identification, overview and comparison of data of taxons and groups of taxons in the form of a matrix. The... More application is multi-user and allows the exchange of knowledge bases between users. All of user’s knowledge bases are stored on the server and are always ready to be used. The technologies used to build the application are ASP.NET MVC framework within Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environment, where the programming language C# was used, along with jQuery javascript library. The application is developed for the needs of the Department of Botany of Faculty of Science of University of Zagreb and will be integrated into the online biodiversity database “Flora Croatica”.
