Abstract

U radu je dan uvid u zahtjeve i potrebe koje se javljaju prilikom uvođenja protokola IPv6 u VoIP internetsku okolinu. Analizirane su signalne poruke koje se izmjenjuju između korisničkih agenata i posredničkih SIP poslužitelja kroz heterogene mreže IPv6/IPv4. Pojavom novih pružatelja usluga koji nemaju mogućnost korištenja javnih IPv4 adresa, sve će češći slučaj biti da će se za pristup Internetu koristiti IPv6 pristupne mreže. S obzirom na široku rasprostranjenost usluga na IPv4 dijelu Interneta za očekivati je da će se pojavljivati problemi u ostvarivanju komunikacije koji mogu ozbiljno narušiti kvalitetu usluge za krajnjeg korisnika. U radu se analiziralo trenutno stanje u mrežama pružatelja usluga, naveli su se problemi koji se javljaju i preporučili su se mehanizmi koji će pružiti zadovoljavajuću uslugu SIP komunikacije preko IPv6/IPv4 mreža. Rad se zasniva na poznatim standardima i na nekim prijedlozima koji su trenutno na razmatranju unutar IETF radnih grupa.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis an analysis of requirements needed for implementation of protocol IPv6 in VoIP Internet networks is presented. Description of the signaling messages between user agents and SIP proxy servers in IPv6/IPv4 networks is given. Internet is running out of new IPv4 addresses and new service providers will have to push IPv6 to the front. Because of the wide distribution of IPv4 services, it is expected problems to appear in communications establishment that can seriously impact quality of services for the end users. This thesis has analyzed current situation in service provider’s networks and problems they are facing today. Methods and mechanisms for ensuring quality of service in SIP communications over IPv6/IPv4 networks are recommended. In this thesis are used known communication standards and some of the current IETF drafts as working documents.
