Abstract

Temeljna ideja ovog rada bila je istražiti stabilnost signala takta kao i metode analize kolebanja signala takta i komunikacijskih kanala, te ispitati promjene u kolebanju superponiranjem signala smetnje signalu takta. Kao generator signala takta i signala smetnje korišten je signalni generator Keysight 33520B dok je za mjerenje kolebanja korišten osciloskop R&S RTO2000 serije.
Provedene su analize periodičnog kolebanja, ciklus-ciklus kolebanja kao i Time Interval Error(TIE) kolebanja nad signalom takta, ali i nositeljem podataka.
Mjerenja su provedena sa više različitih utjecaja: bez utjecaja smetnje, uz komponentu nasumične smetnje i uz komponentu periodične smetnje visokih i niskih frekvencija. Utjecaji smetnji prikazani su brojčano, histogramima, vremenskim trendovima i u frekvencijskoj domeni koristeći brzu Fourierovu transformaciju(FFT).
Uz statističku analizu podataka također su obrađeni i dijagrami oka koji imaju široku primjenu u telekomunikaciji kao alat za analizu kvalitete komunikacijskog kanala mreže.

Abstract (english)

The main idea of this work was to explore clock signal stability as well as clock and data carrier jitter analysis methods, and to examine the change of jitter by superimposing noise to the clock signal.
Signal generator Keysight 33520B was used as the generator for our clock signal, as well as our noise signal. R&S RTO2000 series oscilloscope was used in measuring purposes.
Period jitter analysis, cycle-to-cycle jitter analysis as well as Time Interval Error(TIE) analysis were all implemented in this work.
The measurements were carried out on clock signals, as well as data carrier signals.
In an attempt to better understand jitter and it's causes, the signals were measured without noise, but also with superimposed random noise or periodic noise of both high and low frequencies.
The impacts of noise are shown numerically, with histograms, time trends, and in frequency domain using fast Fourier transform(FFT).
In addition to statistical analysis of data Eye Diagrams were also discussed. Eye Diagrams have been widely used in telecommunications as a quality analysis tool for communication channels.
