Abstract

U ovom radu dan je detaljan pregled koncepta Internetom umreženih uređaja te je opisana arhitektura, način funkcioniranja i uporaba IoT sustava. Pokazana je važnost primjene i pridržavanja protokola i standarda prilikom implementiranja rješenja zahtjeva za čiju je ostvarivost krucijalna međusobna suradnja i interoperabilnost raznovrsnih uređaja jedinstvenih funkcionalnosti. Spomenuti su najrašireniji mrežni i podatkovni protokoli korišteni u IoT sustavima i opisane njihove osnovne funkcionalnosti. Upućena je važnost razvoja i primjene niskonaponskih dalekosežnih sustava poput LoRaWAN u ostvarivanju sve složenijih zahtjeva IoT sustava i dan je sažet uvid u njezine funkcionalnosti. Niskonaponski dalekosežni sustavi donose određene prednosti, ali i izazove koji su polemizirani u ovom radu.

Abstract (english)

This paper gives a detailed overview of the concept of networked devices and describes the architecture, the way of functioning and use of IoT systems. The importance of applying and adhering to protocols and standards during the implemention of a solution, for which feasibility, mutual cooperation and interoperability of various devices with unique functionality are crucial, has been demonstrated. The most widespread network and data protocols used in IoT systems were described together with its basic functionalities. The importance of the development and application of low-power wide-area systems such as LoRaWAN has been emphasized in achieving more complex IoT system requirements. Furthermore, a concise insight in its functionalities has been given. Low-power wide-area systems bring some benefits but also the challenges which are discussed in this paper.
