Abstract

Detekcija lica postupak je kojim se locira i odvaja područje lica u slikama. U ovom radu istražili smo primjenjivost stroja potpornih vektora u rješavanju problema detekcije lica. Iznesen je matematički model klasifikatora maksimalne margine, klasifikatora meke margine i nelinearnih klasifikatora koji koriste jezgre. Nadalje, klasificirane su osnovne tehnike implementacije stroja potpornih vektora te su dani matematički modeli algoritama optimizacije: gradijentni uspon i slijedna minimalna... More optimizacija. Iznesene su neke prednosti i nedostaci navedenih algoritama. Naposljetku su izneseni i rezultati implementacije stroja potpornih vektora koji koristi algoritam slijedne minimalne optimizacije u problemima detekcije lica.

Abstract (english)

Face detection is the procedure of finding and separating faces within images. In this thesis we have explored the applicability of the Support Vector Machines(SVM) in solving the face detection problem. We’ve defined a mathematical model of maximum margin classifiers, soft margin classifiers and nonlinear classifiers which use kernels. Furthermore, we’ve classified basic techniques of SVM implementation and given mathematical models of optimization algorithms: gradient ascent and... More Sequential Minimal Optimization (SMO). Some advantages and disadvantages of the aforementioned algorithms have been brought forth. Lastly, we’ve carried out the results of the SVM implementation which uses SMO in the face detection problem.
