Abstract

Sustav za automatsku konfiguraciju mrežnih uređaja je softverska platforma koja upravlja i nadzire uređaje preko mreže koristeći TR-069 protokol za udaljeno upravljanje uređajima. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada je teorijski analizirati poslužiteljski sustav AXESS.ACS od proizvođača Axiros GmbH, testirati njegove performanse pod opterećenjem, te pomoću istog implementirati osnovnu mrežnu funkcionalnost na mrežni uređaj.
U prva tri poglavlja se teorijski opisuje TR-069, općenito što je sustav za automatsku konfiguraciju uređaja, na koji način se odvija komunikacija između uređaja i sustava, sustav AXESS.ACS, tj. sve vezano uz njega, počevši od arhitekture i hardverskih zahtjeva pa sve do njegovih komponenata i procesa obrade zahtjeva.
U četvrtom poglavlju se opisuje stvarna implementacija Wi-Fi usluge na mrežni uređaj. Korak po korak se objašnjava kreiranje i aktivacija usluge, te je uz to prikazana i objašnjena komunikacija između uređaja i sustava tijekom aktivacije.
U petom poglavlju se opisuju testiranja performansi sustava pod raznim opterećenjima. Testovi su se izvodili unutar virtualnog okruženja, gdje se podigao sustav AXESS.ACS i kreirao klijent koji simulira željeni broj mrežnih uređaja. Temeljem rezultata testova, dolazi se do zaključka da je teško dobiti realne podatke o performansama sustava, jer se analiza izvodila na lokalnom računalu.
Temeljna primjena ovog sustava je u telekomunikacijskoj industriji, gdje sustav automatski konfigurira nove mrežne uređaje bez ljudske interakcije, te također omogućuje vrlo lako upravljanje i nadziranje tih istih udaljenih mrežnih uređaja, što dovodi do velikog smanjenja troškova.

Abstract (english)

Auto-configuration system is a software platform that manages and monitors devices over the network using the TR-069 remote device management protocol. The objective of this master's thesis is to theoretically analyze the AXESS.ACS server system from Axiros GmbH, test its performance under load, and implement the basic network functionality on the network device.
The first three chapters provide theoretical description of TR-069, auto-configuration server in general, communication between the device and the server, AXESS.ACS system, i.e. everything related to it, starting with the architecture and hardware requirements, up to its components and his request handling.
The fourth chapter describes the actual implementation of Wi-Fi service on a network device. The creation and activation of the service is described step by step, following with the explanation of the communication between the device and the system during activation.
Chapter five describes system performance testing at different loads. The tests were performed within the virtual environment where the AXESS.ACS system was deployed, and a client was created to simulate the desired number of network devices. Based on the results of the tests, it concludes that it is difficult to get realistic system performance data, because the analysis was performed on a local computer.
The basic application of this system is in the telecommunications industry, where the system automatically configures new network devices without human interaction and makes it easy to manage and monitor these same remote network devices, leading to a large cost reduction.
