... More presudne je važnosti za proračun, poznavanje što točnije vrijednosti ovih konstanti. Jednako tako, u brodogradnji je važno poznavanje npr. modula smicanja brodskog vratila za proračun prenesene snage brodskog motora na vratilo i postizanje optimalne brzine broda. U prvom dijelu disertacije opisane su klasične metode određivanja modula smicanja brodskog vratila te analizirana njihova točnost. Nakon toga u drugom poglavlju slijedi opis ultrazvučne metode. Metoda se temelji na predodžbi elastičnog krutog sredstva kao kontinuuma, kojega se dijelovi mogu međusobno pomicati. Unutarnje dilatacije, translacije i rotacije su opisane diferencijalnim jednadžbama, a iz njihovih rješenja proizašli su prediktori za mehaničke konstante krutog izotropnog sredstva. To su brzine rasprostiranja longitudinalnih i transverzalnih valova i gustoća propagacijskog sredstva kroz koje se ti valovi šire. Opisane su metode mjerenja brzine ultrazvučnih valova te postavljen matematički model mjerenja izravno-impulsnom metodom. Provedena je analiza svih parametara i određene potrebne karakteristike predajnog i prijemnog ultrazvučnog pretvarača kao generatora i receptora impulsnih valova. Predložene su tri koncepcije mjerne metode i to: metode s tri pretvarača, metode s neusmjerenim izvorom ultrazvučnih valova i metode s jednim pretvaračem. U trećem poglavlju provedena je analiza energetske pretvorbe ultrazvučnih valova na diskontinuitetu. Analizirani su okomiti i kosi upad valova na granicu kako bi se istražili svi fenomeni prijenosa i refleksije. Da bi se riješio osnovni problem, a to je kontrolirano ozvučavanje propagacijskog sredstva transverzalnim ultrazvučnim valovima, posebna pažnja je posvećena istraživanju i analizi energetske pretvorbe valova za granice tekuće-kruto sredstvo, kruto-tekuće sredstvo te konačno kruto-kruto sredstvo. Analizirane su sve kombinacije za vodu, plexi, čelik, aluminij, bronca i teflon. Izvedene su teoretske krivulje energetske razdiobe reflektiranih i prenesenih longitudinalnih i transverzalnih ultrazvučnih valova, kao funkcija kuta upada longitudinalnog vala na diskontinuitet. Ova istraživanja su omogućila projektiranje i razvoj specijalnog senzora koji omogućuje praktičnu implementaciju teorijskih postavki ultrazvučne metode za određivanja mehaničkih konstanti. U četvrtom poglavlju opisana su istraživanja piezoelektričkog ultrazvučnog pretvarača. Kako je upravo ultrazvučni pretvarački sustav ona ključna komponenta na kojoj se temelji mjerna metoda, provedena su istraživanja svih njegovih sastavnih dijelova. Njih čine prilagodna prizma od perspexa te predajni i prijemni piezokeramički ultrazvučni pretvarači za longitudinalne valove. Provedena je analiza piezokeramike kao aktivnog elementa te diskusija osnovnih zakonitosti piezoefekta na osnovu kojih je izveden nadomjesni spoj piezokeramičkog ultrazvučnog pretvarača kao elektromehaničkog šesteropola. Na tim osnovama je razvijena tehnologija izrade PZT piezokeramičkih pločica za niskomegahercno područje rada, od kojih su izrađeni pretvarači. Provedena je eksperimentalna provjera modela pretvarača s vrijednostima relevantnih veličina dobivenih mjerenjem kroz razvoj i izradu akustičkog zaslona na osnovi epoksidna smola-volfram, piezokeramičkog elementa i mehaničkog transformatora. U petom poglavlju je provedena teorijska analiza akustičkog polja u krutom sredstvu, koje nastaje zračenjem ultrazvučnog pretvarača. U šestom poglavlju prikazani su rezultati eksperimentalne provjere ultrazvučne metode dobiveni mjerenjem na internom etalonskom vratilu BI-a. U sedmom poglavlju provedena je analiza točnosti ultrazvučne metode određivanja mehaničkih konstanti vratila. Analizom iznosa pojedinih komponenti u iznosu ukupne greške mjerenja brzine, slijedi da su najveći uzroci ukupne greške, greška zbog konstrukcije ultrazvučnog pretvarača i greška u mjerenju promjera vratila. Te dvije komponente doprinose 74,6 % ukupnoj greški, od čega samo greška zbog pretvarača doprinosi 66,3 %. Točnost određivanja vrijednosti mehaničkih konstanti brodskog vratila, osim o točnosti određivanja brzina longitudinalnih i transverzalnih valova u njemu, ovisi i o točnosti određivanja gustoće vratila. Ako se uzme da je točnost određivanja gustoće 0,5 % te tome doda točnost određivanja brzina 0,1 %, konačno izlazi da se mehaničke konstante vratila predloženom ultrazvučnom metodom mogu odrediti s točnošću koja ne prelazi 0,6 %, što je značajno veća točnost u odnosu na klasičnu metodu. ... More designing various mechanical constructions, it is of crucial importance for calculation to know the values of these constants as accurately as possible. Likewise, in the field of shipbuilding it is of great importance to know the shaft modulus of rigidity for calculating engine power transferred to the shaft and achieving optimum ship speed. The classical methods used for determination of the shaft modulus of rigidity and their accuracy are analysed in the first section of this dissertation. The second section contains the description of the ultrasonic method. The method is based on representation of the solid medium as a continuum, with physical interaction of the constituent parts. Internal dillatations, translatations and rotations are defined by differential equations, the results of which produced the predictors of the mechanical constants of a solid isotropic medium. These are the velocities of longitudinal and transversal waves propagation and the density of medium through which these waves propagate. Described are the methods of ultrasonic wave velocity measurement and the mathematical model of direct-impulse measurement is set. All parameters are analysed and the required characteristics of a transmitting and receiving ultrasonic transducer as a generator and receptor of impulse waves are identified. Three concepts of the measurement methods are proposed: a method with three tranducers, a method with a nondirected source of ultrasonic waves and a method with a single transducer. The analysis of the energy conversion of ultrasonic waves on discontinuity is done in the third section. The vertical and the oblique incidence for a perfect bond are analysed in order to research all transfer and reflection phenomena. To solve the basic problem of controlled insonification of the propagation medium by means of transversal ultrasonic waves, special attention was given to the research and analysis of wave energy conversion for liquid-solid medium, solid-liquid medium and finally solid-solid medium bond. All combinations for water, plexi, steel, aluminium, bronze and teflon are analysed. Derived are the theoretical curves of energy conversion of the reflected and refracted longitudinal and transversal ultrasonic waves, as the function of the angle of incidence of the longitudinal wave on discontinuity. This research enabled the design and development of a special sensor which in turn enables the practical implementation of the theoretical postulates for the determination of mechanical constants by the ultrasonic method. The study of the peizoelectric ultrasonic transducer is described in the fourth section. Since the ultrasonic transducer system is the key component on which the measurement method is based, research of all of its integral parts is conducted. These parts include a perspex adjusting prism and transmitting and receiving piezoceramic ultrasonic transducers for longitudinal waves. The analysis of pizeoceramics as an active element is done. Also, discussed are the basic patterns of the piezoeffect on the basis of which the surrogate compound of a piezoceramic ultrasonic transducer as an electromechanical sixpole was derived. On these foundations the technology for the production of PZT piezoceramic tiles for the low-megahertz range, from which the transducers were made of, was developed. The experimental testing of the transducer model was conducted with the values of relevant magnitudes obtained by the measurements during the development and production of acoustic backing based on epoxy-wolfram composition, a piezoceramic element and a mechanical transformer. The theoretical analysis of the acoustic field in a solid medium formed by ultrasonic transducer radiation is done in the fifth section. In the sixth section the results of the experimental testing of the ultrasonic method obtained by performing measurements on the Brodarski Institute shaft standard are given. The accuracy of the ultrasonic method for determination of shaft’s mechanical constants is analysed in the seventh section. The analysis of the values of individual components within the value of the total error of velocity measurement shows that the main causes of the total error are the errors due to ultrasonic transducer construction and shaft diameter measuring. These two components make for 74.6% of the total error, of which the transducer error alone makes for 66.3%. Apart from depending on the accuracy of longitudinal and transversal waves determination, the accuracy of the determination the values of the shaft mechanical constants also depends on the accuracy of the shaft’s density determination. If taking that the density determination accuracy is 0.5%, and adding to it the velocity determination accuracy of 0.1%, it follows that the shaft’s mechanical constants can be determined by a maximum accuracy of 0.6% using the proposed ultrasonic method, which exceeds by far the accuracy obtained using classical method.
