Abstract

Suvremeni sustavi obrazovanja na daljinu složeni su raspodijeljeni sustavi koji trebaju pružiti niz usluga sudionicima edukacijskog procesa. Bitan preduvijet uspjeha takvih sustava je mogućnost zajedničkog rada s drugim sličnim sustavima što omogućava primjena arhitekture temeljene na uslugama i posebice Web usluge. U sklopu ovog rada proučeni su temeljni pojmovi razvoja programske podrške velikih poslovnih sustava i karakteristike arhitekture temeljene na uslugama. Potom su detaljnije razrađene Web usluge kao posrednička vezna tehnologija koja omogućava zajednički rad različitih programskih sustava. Na osnovu podataka dostupnih iz literature razrađena je arhitektura sustava obrazovanja na daljinu te je potom razrađen okvir za razvoj takvog sustava. U sklopu rada analizirani su razvojni okviri, te je odabrani okvir proširen podrškom za Web usluge. Potom je taj okvir iskorišten za implementaciju određenih dijelova sustava obrazovanja na daljinu, posebice sučelja za rad s korisnicima koje je definirala udruga IMS Global.

Abstract (english)

Modern e-learning systems are distributed and very complex. In order for such systems to be successfull it is necessary for them to be interoperable. In other words, it is necessary to obey all the relevant standards and recommendations. One very popular approach to development of distributed systems is service oriented architectural (SOA) pattern, and in particular, Web services as the technology to implement SOA pattern. This thesis first surveys all important terms related to development of enterprise arhchitecture applications. Next, it discusses service oriented architecture and then Web services in particular. After discussing all the necessary terminology and tehnology the thesis advances to define architecture for e-learning systems. Few arhitectures are surveyed and based on that survey the architecture for implementing e-learning system is defined. Finally, thesis analyses available frameworks for the development of software java system. Selected framework is adopted to support Web sevices. Finally in order to prove feasibility of architecture and selected framework parts of the architecture are developed, most notably IMS Global's Person Service specification.
