Abstract

Rad na teoretskoj razini istražuje novi način za sigurno bežično uparivanje dva HoloLens uređaja miješane stvarnosti primjenom njihove sposobnosti mapiranja 3D prostora.
Konkretno, korisnicima se omogućuje da umjesto upisivanja standardne alfanumeričke šifre koriste prostornu šifru, tj. točku u prostoru kao tajni ključ za uspostavu sigurne veze.

Opisan je novi protokol koji se bazira na autentificiranoj Diffie-Hellman izmjeni ključa te koristi prethodno spomenutu prostornu šifru.
Zbog... More inherentne nepreciznosti korisnika i uređaja, protokol je proširen metodom ispravke pogrešaka koja se temelji na diskretizaciji 3D prostora na mreže kocaka.

Abstract (english)

The report explores a new way to do wireless pairing of two HoloLens mixed reality devices using their 3D space mapping capabilities.
Specifically, instead of using a standard alphanumeric password, users are allowed to use a spatial password, i.e. a point in space as a secret key for establishing a secured connection.

A new protocol is described which is based on the Password-Authenticated Key (PAK) Diffie-Hellman Exchange and uses the aforementioned spatial password.
Because of the... More inherent imprecision of devices and users, the protocol is expanded to include an error correcting method based on the discretization of 3D space into a mesh of cubes.
Since there is currently no public data regarding the precision of the HoloLens, simple measurements were taken to determine that and the theoretic performance of the protocol was calculated accordingly. Less
