Abstract
Protokol WebRTC omogućuje izravnu komunikaciju između web klijenata u stvarnom vremenu koristeći model ravnopravnih sudionika, bez potrebe za posredničkim poslužiteljem. Izravna komunikacija između ravnopravnih sudionika omogućuje brži prijenos podataka nego klasična klijent-poslužitelj arhitektura, kao i veću skalabilnost budući da ne postoji središnje usko grlo u sustavu. Protokol je primjenjiv na različitim područjima, poput slikovne i glasovne komunikacija u web aplikacijama. U ovom diplomskom radu, opisan je razvoj aplikacije za slikovne i glasovne pozive za operacijski sustav Android koristeći protokol WebRTC, kao i rezultati testiranja razvijene aplikacije na različitim mobilnim uređajima.
Abstract (english)
WebRTC protocol enables peer-to-peer communication among web clients in real time, thus avoiding the need for an intermediary server. Direct peer-to-peer communication enables faster data transfer than in classical client-server archtecture, as well as higher scalability since there is no central bottleneck in the system. The protocol is applicable in different fields, such as live video and audio communication in web applications. In this thesis, the development of an application for audio and video calls for the Android operating system using WebRTC protocol is described, as well as the results of testing the developed application on different mobile devices.
