Abstract

Popularne društvene mreže koriste standardne oblike pisane komunikacije i ne
omogućuju primjenu simbola potpomognute komunikacije, koje koriste osobe sa
složenim komunikacijskim potrebama. U ovom diplomskom radu predložen je
model društvene mreže u kojoj korisnici mogu komunicirati koristeći simbole za
potpomognutu komunikaciju razmjenom blog poruka. Blog poruke koriste editore
bogatog teksta s dodatnom funkcionalnošću koja omogućuje umetanje simbola za
potpomognutu komunikaciju. Temeljem modela implementiran je prototip
društvene mreže pomoću programske platforme Elgg. Implementirani su
programski dodaci koji omogućuju komunikaciju pomoću simbola iz galerija
ARASAAC, Mulberry i Sclera te je implementiran programski dodatak koji prevodi
društvenu mrežu na hrvatski jezik.

Abstract (english)

Popular social networks use standard forms of written communication that don't
support the application of alternative and augmentative communication symbols
for persons with complex communication needs. This thesis proposes a model of
social network in which users can communicate using these symbols by
exchanging blog posts. Blog posts use rich text editors with additional functionality
that allows users to insert symbols for augmentative and alternative
communication. Based on the proposed model a prototype social network is
implemented by using the software platform Elgg. Plugins that enable
communication by using symbols from the galleries ARASAAC, Mulberry and
Sclera are implemented and a plugin that translates the social network into
Croatian is also implemented.
