Abstract

Uporaba metoda statistike i strojnog učenja za analizu podataka iz turističke domene

Turistički sektor može polučiti velike benefite od kvalitetne primjene analize podataka. Kvalitetan uvid u dinamiku rezervacija smještaja, potražnju i potrebe klijenata može ponuđaču turističkih usluga dati mogućnost donošenja poslovnih odluka koje će s jedne strane dodatno podići kvalitetu ponude i zadovoljstvo klijenata, a s druge rezultirati većim profitima. S klijentske strane, dobivanje kvalitetne informacije o utjecaju različitih varijablu na cijenu smještaja može biti od velike financijske i praktične koristi kod korištenja turističkih usluga.

Zadatak ovog rada jest prikupiti podatkovni skup povezan uz turistički sektor, provesti eksploratornu analizu nad tim podacima, istražiti korelacije među odabranim atributima te obrazložiti dobivene rezultate.

Abstract (english)

The tourism sector can greatly benefit from the structured application of data analysis. Quality insights into the dynamics of accommodation reservations, demand and
client needs can give the provider of tourist services the ability to make business decisions that will, on the one hand, further increase the quality of the offer and client
satisfaction, and on the other hand, result in higher profits. From the client’s perspective, obtaining quality information about the impact of various variables on the price of
accommodation can be of great financial and practical benefit when in need of tourist
services.
The task of this thesis is to collect a data set related to the tourism sector, conduct
an exploratory analysis of these data, investigate the correlations between the selected
attributes and explain the obtained results.
