Abstract

U radu je opisan sustav hlađenja jednog konkretnog podatkovnog centra. Opisane su korištene komponente te njihova raspodjela i povezanost. Iznesena su dva algoritma za upravljanje hlađenjem centra: prvi sa fiksnom postavnom vrijednosti, uz uporabu spremnika vode samo u slučaju gubitka napajanja, a drugi sa promjenjivom postavnom vrijednosti, uz uporabu spremnika vode pri normalnom radu. Izrađen je MATLAB Simulink simulacijski model koji računa potrošnju energije rashladnog sustava za oba načina upravljanja. Izneseni su rezultati te je objašnjeno pod kojim uvjetima dolazi do uštede energije. Osmišljena je logika upravljanja rashladnicima tako da se implementira optimizirani algoritam te su izrađeni dijagrami toka za ključne procese u radu rashladnog sustava.

Abstract (english)

The paper describes the cooling system of a specific data center. It details the components used, their distribution, and interconnections. Two algorithms for managing the center's cooling are presented: the first with a fixed setpoint, using a water tank only in case of power loss, and the second with a variable setpoint, using a water tank during normal operation. A MATLAB Simulink simulation model was created to calculate the energy consumption of the cooling system for both management methods. The results are presented, explaining under which conditions energy savings occur. The control logic for the chillers was designed to implement the optimized algorithm, and flow diagrams were created for the key processes in the operation of the cooling system.
