Abstract

Ovaj rad predstavlja razmatranje mogućnosti procjene težine vozila temeljem analize termovizijskih snimaka. Analiza je provedena na vozilima različitih težina, automobilu i biciklu. Provedena je detekcija disk kočnice automobila i kotača bicikla na snimkama, te očitanje temperatura detektiranih mjesta. Naglasak je stavljen na pretvorbu kinetičke energije vozila u toplinsku energiju kočionih dijelova vozila čime je omogućena približno točna procjena težine vozila. Za što točniju procjenu težine vozila potrebno je poznavati težinu kočnica i specifični toplinski kapacitet materijala od kojeg su napravljene. Prednost takvog načina procjene težine vozila je fleksibilnost u mjestu postavljanja kamere i mogućnosti procjene mase kada je vozilo u pokretu.

Abstract (english)

This paper presents an elaboration of possibility to estimate vehicle mass based on the analysis of thermal images. The analysis was performed on vehicles of different weights, car and bicycle. Car disc brake and bicycle rim detection was performed on videos, and reading of temperature on detected places. Emphasis was on the conversion of kinetic energy of the vehicle into thermal energy of the vehicle braking parts which enables an accurate vehicle mass estimation. For more accurately vehicle mass estimation it is necessary to know vehicle brake weight and specific heat capacity of the materials from which they are made of. The advantage of this method for vehicle mass estimation is flexibility of camera installation location and possibilities of mass estimation when the vehicle is in motion.
