Abstract

Diplomski rad predstavlja razvoj i implementaciju simulacijskog modela za looper-e u
procesu hladnog valjanja limova koristeći MATLAB i Simulink. Looperi su važni uređaji
koji kontroliraju napetost i opuštenost traka ili limova tijekom valjanja. Cilj ovog rada je
stvoriti precizan i pouzdan simulacijski model koji će prikazati dinamičko ponašanje
looper-a. Rad započinje sveobuhvatnim pregledom literature o valjaoničkim procesima i
looper-ima, uključujući njihove principe dizajna i upravljanje. Na temelju tog znanja
razvijen je matematički model koji opisuje ponašanje looper-a i njihovu interakciju s
procesom valjanja. Model je zatim preveden u MATLAB i Simulink kako bi se stvorilo
simulacijsko okruženje. Simulacijski rezultati u obliku grafova su prikazani i objašnjeni.

Abstract (english)

This master's thesis presents the development and implementation of a simulation
model for loopers in the cold rolling sheet process using MATLAB and Simulink. Loopers
are essential devices that control the tension and slack of strips or sheets during rolling
operations. The objective of this research is to create an accurate and reliable simulation
model that captures the dynamic behavior of loopers. The thesis starts with a
comprehensive review of the literature on loopers, including their design principles and
control strategies. Based on this knowledge, a mathematical model is developed to
describe the behavior of loopers and their interaction with the rolling process. The model
is then translated into MATLAB and Simulink to create a simulation environment.
Simulation results in the form of graphs are presented and explained.
