Abstract

Današnja vatrogasna vozila su izuzetno napredni strojevi koji se koriste ne samo za gašenje požara, već i za sve ostale oblike spašavanja ljudi i objekata. Opremljena su najsuvremenijom opremom, a centralni dio vatrogasnog sustava je vatrogasna crpka. Radi se o vrlo moćnom i skupom uređaju koji mora ostati pouzdan čak i u ekstremnim uvjetima u kojima se može naći s obzirom na svoju namjenu. Kako ispravan i pouzdan rad vatrogasne crpke ovisi o mnogo različitih parametara, nadzor i upravljanje crpkom prepušta se računalu. Na taj je način spriječena mogućnost ljudske pogreške te je osiguran pouzdan rad crpke, ali i svih ostalih dijelova vatrogasnog vozila kojima upravlja računalo. Osim toga, posada vatrogasnog vozila se može koncentrirati isključivo na gašenje požara te spašavanje ljudskih života, a ne mora brinuti o radu samih sustava vatrogasnog vozila, što bi danas bilo i nemoguće s obzirom na vrlo velik broj takvih sustava na suvremenom vatrogasnom vozilu, koji rade svaki za sebe, a računalo sve to nadzire. Neki od tih potpuno automatiziranih sustava su tlačno i termičko rasterećenje vatrogasne crpke, sustav automatske regulacije razine vode i pjene u spremniku, TOURMAT, sustav odzračivanja crpke, sustavi za miješanje medija za gašenje požara i mnogi drugi od kojih su najvažniji opisani u okviru ovog rada.

Abstract (english)

Today, firefighting vehicles are advanced machines used not just for fire extinguishing, but for all forms of rescuing people and facilities. Firefighting vehicles are equipped with most modern equipment and central part of firefighting system is firefighting pump. It is very powerful machine that has to be reliable even in extreme conditions that are possible considering its purpose. Reliable and proper operation of firefighting pump depends of many different parameters, so it is being supervised and controlled by computer. Because of that, human mistake is prevented and proper operation of the pump and all other computer controlled parts of the firefighting system is ensured. Furthermore, the crew does not have to be concerned about proper operation of firefighting systems, but can be concentrated on fire extinguishing and rescuing people. Taking care of all these systems in modern firefighting vehicle would be even impossible without using computer. Some of these computer controlled systems are pressure and thermal relief, automatic water/foam level regulation, TOURMAT, pump venting system, foam mixing systems and many others. The most important systems are described in this paper.
