Abstract

Rad se bavi implementacijom digitalnih audio efekata na mikrokontroleru, konkretno Bela platformi, te usporedbom performansi takvog sustava sa sustavom koji se izvršava na računalu opće namjene. U prvom poglavlju daje se pregled teorijske pozadine potrebne za razumijevanje lanca prijenosa zvuka i objašnjava osnove digitalno-analogne pretvorbe. Drugo poglavlje bavi se konkretnim sustavom korištenim u praktičnom radu, a to je Bela mikrokontroler i programska jezgra razvijena za procesiranje audio signala u stvarnom vremenu. Treće poglavlje predstavlja praktični rad, implementaciju sustava i rezultate mjerenja.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this report was to implement several digital audio effects on an embedded system, specifically on the Bela platform, and to compare the performance of this system with the performance of a program written for a multi-purpose computer. The first chapter gives a review of the theoretical background needed for understanding the sound transmission chain and the basics of digital-analogue conversion. The second chapter reviews the specific platform used, the Bela microcontroller and the software core developed for real-time audio processing. The third chapter describes the practical implementation of the system and the results of latency measurement.
