Abstract

Sažetak: Cilj ovog rada je bio istražiti kako inducirani efekti munje utječu na rad helikoptera. Istraživanje je provedeno na modelu helikoptera tvrtke Airbus Helicopters koristeći 3D software FEKO čiji je proračuni temelje na metodi momenata.
Nakon simulacija određenih slučajeva u kojima su mijenjani parametri koji su ključni za zaštitu helikoptera od induciranih utjecaja munje, doneseni su sljedeći zaključci:
• Metalizacija vanjske površine konstrukcije i implementacija metalnih (vodljivih) objekata najvažniji su principi zaštite
• Implementacija metalnih objekata značajno unapređuje razinu zaštite, što također ovisi i o obliku metalnih objekta
• Metalizacija kompozitne konstrukcije s metalnim slojem gustoće 75 g/m2 nije uvijek dovoljna i zahtjeva upotrebu materijala veće vodljivosti u kritičnim dijelovima
• Injekcija munje od nosa prema repu je najkritičnija

Abstract (english)

Summary: The aim of this thesis was to investigate how lightning induced effects affect helicopters. The investigation was performed on a model designed by Airbus Helicopters and the simulations were done using 3D electromagnetic software FEKO, based on Method of Moments.
After simulating different cases with variation of parameters, which are important for LIE protection, on simplified H/C simulation model following conclusions were made:
• Simulations show that skin metallization and implementation of Electrical Structural Network (ESN) are most important in providing proper protection level
• The implementation of an Electrical Structure Network improves the behavior of lightning protection substantially, what also depends on the ESN shape
• Covering a composite airframe with a 75g/m2 is not always sufficient and requires a higher mesh thickness in most critical areas
• The injection case from nose to tail is the most critical.
