Abstract
Računarstvo na rubu predstavlja sve aplikacije koje obrađuju podatke u danom trenutku. Pozitivne strane računarstva na rubu su brzina reakcije, smanjena količina podataka koje je potrebno prenijeti u oblak i sigurnost korisnika, a mane cijena inicijalnog postavljanja sustava i gubitak podataka. Zbog jedinstvenih zahtjeva blizine aplikacija samim senzorima, potrebno je omogućiti izvođenje aplikacija na uređajima ograničenih resursa. U sklopu ovog diplomskog rada, napravljen je studijski primjer koji prikazuje komunikaciju između senzora i krajnje aplikacije. Senzori s kojima krajnja aplikacija komunicira, koriste protokol LoRaWAN, te su generirani u LWN simulatoru, skupa s mrežnim prilazima. Da bi komunikacija uspjela, potrebno je imati posrednika poput ChirpStacka koji pretvara LoRaWAN paket u HTTP zahtjev koji potom krajnja aplikacija može obraditi. Svi servisi postavljeni su na Raspberry PI i pokrenuti su unutar K3s platforme.
Abstract (english)
Edge computing represents all applications that process data at present. The positive aspects of edge computing are reaction speed, reduced amount of transferred data to the cloud, and user security. The disadvantages are the cost of initial system setup and data loss. Due to the unique requirements of the proximity of the application to the sensors themselves, it is necessary to enable the application to run on devices with limited resources. Apart of this master’s thesis, a study example was made to show communication between sensors and the end application. Sensors for communication use LoRaWAN protocol and are generated by LWN Simulator alongside gateways. To establish the connection, it is crucial to have middle agent like ChirpStack that converts LoRaWAN package to HTTP request that the end application can read. All services are deployed on Raspberry PI inside K3s platform.
