Abstract
Implementacije kriptografskih algoritama ranjive na vremenske napade jednostavno omogućuju napadačima potpunu rekonstrukciju tajnih podataka. Alati za automatsku verifikaciju pokazali su se ključnim u jačanju sigurnosti kripto-sustava. Međutim, verifikaciju je tipično teško provesti i implementirati. Razvili smo novu metodu verifikacije, DRAMA, s fokusom na jednostavnu uporabu, implementaciju i održavanje. Također predstavljamo rezultate eksperimentalne uporabe novog alata i ranjivosti koje su pronađene.
Abstract (english)
Timing attack vulnerabilities in cryptography implementations easily allow for full recovery of secrets. Automated verification tools proved essential for hardening cryptosystems. However, verification is typically difficult to execute and implement. We developed DRAMA, a novel verification method designed with ease of use, implementation, and maintenance as foremost concerns. We also present the experimental results and vulnerabilities found through use of this tool.
