Abstract

U sklopu ovog rada izrađeno je skladište podataka za Olimpijske igre u IBM-ovom oblaku. Pri tome se koristila platforma Cloud Pak for Data koja sadrži alate DataStage za ETL proces te Cognos za izradu izvještaja. Baza podataka korištena u ovom radu je Oracle DB. Izvorni podaci o Olimpijskim igrama preuzeti su s Kaggle-a, dok su podaci kao što su broj stanovnika i BDP država svijeta preuzeti sa službene stranice UN-a. Napravljena je analiza sigurnosnih prijetnji prema oblaku te koji se koraci rade od strane pružatelja usluga oblaka kako bi se te prijetnje ublažile. Također se napravila i usporedba izrade navedenog skladišta na lokalnom računalu i u oblaku pri čemu su se, između ostalog, mogle vidjeti razlike između DataStagea i Cognosa u tim instancama.

Abstract (english)

In this paper, a data warehouse for the Olympic games in an IBM cloud was designed. The data warehouse was made using the Cloud Pak for Data platform which contained the tools DataStage for the ETL process and Cognos for making reports. The database used in this paper is Oracle DB. The original data for the Olympic games can be found on Kaggle, while the data for the number of residents and GDP of the countries of the world can be found on the official UN website. An analysis of cloud security threats was made, but the paper also states the steps which the cloud provider takes in order to mitigate them. A comparison of creating the data warehouse on a local computer and on a cloud is also made. The reader can, amongst other things, see the differences between the DataStage and Cognos tools for both of these instances.
