Abstract

Bežične lokalne mreže važan su dio komunikacijskih mreža. U ovom radu teorijski i praktično analizirane su performanse bežičnih lokalnih mreža standarda IEEE 802.11ac. Teorijski je opisana WLAN tehnologija i razvoj IEEE standarda. Objašnjene su karakteristike standarda 802.11ac koji je zastupljen u većini uređaja novije proizvodnje. Ovaj standard je veliko poboljšanje u odnosu na prošle standarde, nudeći veće brzine, spajanje više uređaja te korištenje veće frekvencije. Ali se i dalje može unaprijediti nadolazećim standardima. Praktična analiza izvedena je simulacijskim programom Packet Tracer. Programom je izrađena mreža 802.11ac te su joj analizirane performanse.

Abstract (english)

Wireless LANs are an important part of communication networks. In this paper, the performance of IEEE 802.11ac wireless local area networks is theoretically and practically analyzed. WLAN technology and the development of IEEE standards are theoretically described. The characteristics of the 802.11ac standard, which is present in most newer devices, are explained. This standard is a big improvement over previous standards, offering higher speeds, higher frequencies and more connections for devices. However, it can still be improved by upcoming standards. The practical analysis was performed with Packet Tracer simulation program. 802.11ac network was designed and its performance was analyzed.
