Abstract

U ovom radu obrađena je tematika dizajna frekvencijski kontinuirano moduliranog radara. Radar je razložen na blokove te su opisani procesi dizajna, izrade i mjerenja pojedinih blokova radara. Korištenjem simulacijskih alata projektirani su pojačalo snage, niskošumno pojačalo, mješalo i usmjerni sprežnik u mikrotrakastoj tehnologiji. Pritom su karakteristike komponenata bile usklađene sa zahtjevima projektiranog radara. U konačnici je pomoću dostupnih komponenata izveden funkcionalni prototip radara te su provedena mjerenja udaljenosti odabranih objekata. Rezultati su pokazali pomak u očitanju udaljenosti koji je posljedica nedovoljne prostorne razlučivosti izvedenog radara, no taj pomak je moguće kompenzirati u naknadnoj obradi.

Abstract (english)

This paper deals with the design of frequency modulated continuous wave radar (FMCW). The radar is divided into blocks, and the design, manufacturing and measurement processes of individual radar blocks are described. Using simulation tools, a power amplifier, a low-noise amplifier, a mixer and a directional coupler in microstrip technology were designed. At the same time, the characteristics of the components were matched with the requirements of the designed radar. In the end, using the available components, a functional prototype of the radar was built and the distance measurements of the selected objects were carried out. The results showed a shift in the distance reading, which is a consequence of insufficient spatial resolution of the developed radar, but this shift can be compensated in subsequent processing.
