Abstract

Biomedicinski signali kao spona između biologije i elektrotehnike nude uvid u unutrašnje funkcije živih bića. Vrata u taj svijet su elektrode koje svojim oblikom, svojstvima i visokim stupnjem osjetljivosti moraju omogućiti detekciju, prijenos i mjerenje takvih signala te ih očuvati od šuma i smetnji iz okoline.
Kapacitivne elektrode za razliku od mokrih ne traže vodljivi gel, a udobnošću neizravnog kontakta s kožom olakšavaju dugotrajnija snimanja. Jednostavnijom izvedbom, kapacitivne elektrode s niskom ulaznom impedancijom imaju prednost nad dizajnom s visokom ulaznom impedancijom.
Podjednako pažljivo projektiranje svih dijelova sustava te korištenje specijaliziranih alata i materijala visokih performansi jedini je pouzdan način da se osigura konzistentnost i integritet rezultata. Baterijsko napajanje, kompaktna izvedba, bežična komunikacija i minimalne tolerancije komponenata predstavljaju potencijalna rješenja za daljnji razvoj i primjenu opisanog sustava u akviziciji elektromiografskih signala.

Abstract (english)

Biomedical signals, as a bond between biology and technology, offer insight into the inner functions of living organisms. Door to that world are electrodes which must with their shape, characteristics and a high degree of sensitivity provide detection, transfer and measuring of such signals and protect them from external noise.
Unlike wet electrodes, capacitive electrodes do not require conductive gel, whilst the comfort of indirect skin contact simplifies long term monitoring. With the simplicity of their design, low input impedance capacitive electrodes take priority over high input impedance design .
Careful design of all parts of the system and usage of specialized tools and materials of high performances are the only reliable way to ensure consistency and integrity of results. Battery supply, compact design, wireless communication and minimum tolerance of components represent potential solutions for further development and application of the described system in the acquisition of electromyographic signals.
