Abstract

Inovacije su jedan od glavnih pokretača razvoja svih grana industrije. Pojam inovacija možemo shvatiti kao novi ili značajno poboljšani proizvod, koji bi trebao donijeti ekonomske i tehnološke prednosti na tržištu. Područje razvoja nuklearne industrije je široko, te postoji mnogi parametri koji bi se trebali unaprijediti korištenjem, između ostalog, i inovativnih tehnologija. Inovativni tehnološki razvoj možemo pratiti u evoluciji reaktorskih tehnologija, naprednih gorivnih ciklusa, inovativnih primjena nuklearne energetike (desalinizacija i kogeneracija), napretka u izgradnji nuklearnih postrojenja te mnogih drugih specijaliziranih područja. Održivi razvoj nuklearne energetike ovisit će o novim tehnološkim i regulativnim rješenjima, koji će smanjiti troškove pogona i izgradnje elektrane, poboljšati sigurnost i konkurentnost ovog izvora energije, te u konačnici imati važnu ulogu, zajedno s obnovljivim izvorima, u smanjenju ispuštanja stakleničkih plinova i očuvanju okoliša.

Abstract (english)

Innovations are one of the main drivers for development in all industries. The concept of innovation can be seen as a new or significantly improved product, which should make economic and technological advantages in the market. Area for development of the nuclear industry is wide, and there are many parameters that should be improved by using, among other things, and innovative technologies. Innovative technological developments can be traced in the evolution of reactor technology, advanced fuel cycle, innovative applications of nuclear energy (desalination and cogeneration), the progress in the construction of nuclear plants, and many other specialized areas. Sustainable development of nuclear power will depend on the new technological and regulatory solutions that will reduce the cost of operation and construction of power plants, improve the security and competitiveness of energy sources, and ultimately play an important role, together with renewables, in reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and environment protection.
