Abstract

Svakodnevno smo svjedoci napretka u automobilskoj industriji i povećanja složenosti izrade osobnih, teretnih i svih drugih vozila. Ta složenost se ne očituje samo u porastu mase, dimenzija i perfomansi vozila, već i u povećanju broja i složenosti izvedbe ugrađenih komponenti. Dok svojstva i kvaliteta mehaničkih dijelova vozila spadaju u domenu mehanike i strojarstva, elektroničke komponente, odnosno preciznije njihovo sklopovlje i programska podrška, svakako se nalaze u domeni računarskih znanosti. Elektroničke komponente za upravljanje različitim sustavima vozila poput motora, mjenjača ili klima-uređaja automobila već su visoko razvijene i u tom području pretežno dolazi do tehnoloških unapređenja, a manje do temeljitih znanstvenih iskoraka. Ipak, ako se navedeni elektronički sustavi upotrijebe unutar paradigme mobilnog računarstva, te se dizajnira jedan veći sinergijski sustav, dolazi se do sasvim novog pristupa u području telematike, odnosno udaljenog nadzora i dijagnostike vozila. Cilj ovog magistarskog rada je iznijeti arhitekturu takvog heterogenog informacijskog sustava koji će, objedinivši različite dostupne tehnologije, dati sasvim novu znanstvenu ali i praktičnu vrijednost, a to je nadzor stanja i dijagnostika elektroničkih podsustava osobnih automobila sa udaljene lokacije koristeći javno dostupnu uslugu bežičnog prijenosa podataka.

Abstract (english)

Everyday we can witness the progress in automotive industry and ever increasing development complexity of personal, cargo and other types of vehicles. This complexity is not manifested only in the increase of mass, dimensions or characteristics of vehicles, but also in the increase of number and quality of built parts. While characteristics and quality of mechanical parts are dealt by mechanics and mechanical engineering, electronic components – and more precisely their hardware and software – certainly belong to the domain of computer sciences. Electronic components that manage different auto systems like the engine, gear shift and air conditioning are already highly developed and it this area, generally speaking, one can come to advances in technology but not so to fundamental scientific innovations. Nevertheless, if the mentioned electronics systems are used within the mobile computing paradigm, and a larger synergic information system is designed, then one can achieve a completely new approach in the field of telematics, i.e. remote supervision and diagnostics of vehicles. The goal of this article is to demonstrate the architecture of such heterogeneous information system that will, by using different available and off-the-shelf technologies, yield a completely new scientific and practical value. This is the remote supervision of the state of the automotive systems and their diagnostic which is performed from a distant location using publicly available wireless data transfer service.
