Abstract

U ovom radu ispitan je utjecaj kategorizacije fotografija u dvije skupine, fotografije
interijera i eksterijera, na procjenu boje osvjetljenja u fotografiji. Za rješavanje ove
problematike korištene su konvolucijske neuronske mreže. Dvije neuronske mreže,
jednakih arhitektura, trenirane su na dvije kategorije fotografija. Već prilikom samog
treniranja uspješnijom se pokazala ona mreža namijenjena za fotografije eksterijera.
Za klasifikaciju korišten je model prethodno trenirane mreže koja je učena razlikovati
1000 različitih kategorija te je njeno znanje iskorišteno za prepoznavanje dvije
navedene kategorije fotografija. Također, na miješanom skupu fotografija iz obje
kategorije trenirana je dodatna neuronska mreža čiji je zadatak dati procjenu boje
osvjetljenja u fotografiji, neovisno o njenoj kategoriji. Rezultati procjena dviju metoda
uspoređeni su s poznatim algoritmima za procjenu boja osvjetljenja u fotografiji kao
što su Gray World, White Patch te PCA analiza.

Abstract (english)

This paper investigated the impact of photo categorization in two groups, interior
and exterior photographs, on the assessment of the color of the illumination in the
photograph. Illuminant estimations were given with convolutional neural networks.
Two of them, equal architectures, were trained on two categories of photos. Already
during the training, a network designed for exterior photography was more
successful. For the classification itself, a pre-trained neural network model was
used. This model can distinguish 1000 different categories and its knowledge was
expanded to differentiate between two categories of photography. Also, on a mixed
set of photographs of both categories, an additional neural network was trained to
estimate the color of the illumination, regardless of its category. The evaluation
results of the two methods have been compared with well-known algorithms for the
illuminant estimation in photography such as Gray World, White Patch and PCA
analysis.
