Abstract

Klasifikacija fotografije je problem kojim se strojno učenje bavi već dugi niz godina. Jedna od tehnika rješavanja ovog problema su i konvolucijske neuronske mreže, koje će u ovom radu biti primijenjene na malen i zahtjevan skup podataka kako bi se implementirao klasifikator koji će prepoznati limfoblaste od ostalih krvnih stanica. Detaljno je opisana vlastita implementacija konvolucijske neuronske mreže koja je potom u raznim konfiguracijama trenirana nad prethodno obrađenim primjercima iz skupa podataka. Zbog zahtjevnog skupa podataka i slabe računalne snage za treniranje implementirana su alternativna rješenja u svrhu osposobljavanja ovog sustava. Prikazani su postignuti rezultati i konfiguracije neuronskih mreža koje su korištene za dobivanje prikazanih rezultata.

Abstract (english)

Image classification is a long tackled problem in the area of machine learning. One of the techniques developed for solving this is the convolutional neural networks. In this paper, a convolutional neural network will be used to classify a small and challenging dataset to recognize lymphoblasts from other blood cells. A self-made implementation of a convolutional neural network is thoroughly described and then trained on preprocessed entities from the dataset in many different configurations. There are also some alternative solutions that were implemented to compensate for the small quantity of the dataset, large dimensions of single entities and a lack of computing power in training the implemented classifier. The results that were achieved are displayed along with the configurations of convolutional neural networks that were used in achieving those results.
