Abstract

Predmet istraživanja ovog magistarskog rada je integracija komercijalne baze podataka u postojeću telekomunikacijsku mrežu. Kako je stalnim povećanjem količine podataka nemoguće realizirati složene usluge unutar komutacijskog čvora, uvode se posebni poslužitelji, te se usluge izvode raspodijeljeno između više sustava u mreži. Zadatak magistarskog rada je analizirati svojstva komercijalnih baza podataka i ustanoviti mogućnost njihove integracije u postojeće komutacijske sustave. Budući da komutacijski sustav radi stalno tako bi i baza podataka koja bi pohranjivala podatke o dodatnim uslugama morala raditi stalno i biti dostupna 24x7x365. Pri tome bi trebala raditi u stvarnom vremenu. Odluka da se komercijalna baza podataka pokuša integrirati u komutacijski sustav sa sobom je donijela neke probleme u izvedbi. Trebalo je raščlaniti upite iz komutacijskog čvora na podtipove rada u stvarnom vremenu (s čvrstim i bez čvrstih ograničenja na vrijeme izvođenja). Zbog nemogućnosti da Oracle bazom podataka zadovoljimo sve zahtjeve, uvedena je i memorijska baza podataka. Memorijska baza podataka nudi presliku podskupa podataka iz Oracle baze podataka, a ima mogućnost rada u stvarnom vremenu pri čemu može zadovoljiti čvrsta ograničenja na vrijeme izvođenja. Uz zahtjeve za rad u stvarnom vremenu dani su i drugi zahtjevi koji su morali biti zadovoljeni kako bi se uspješno implementirala usluga, te i integrirala u komutacijski sustav. Prikazana je arhitektura raspodijeljenog sustava za realizaciju usluge nadzora poziva, te su provedena mjerenja koja su pokazala da je moguće uspješno izvesti integraciju komercijalne baze podataka u postojeći komutacijski sustav.

Abstract (english)

The research scope of this thesis is integration of commercial database into existing telecommunication network. Since constantly raising the amount of data it is impossible to realized complex services within switching node. Therefore special servers are introduced, and services are executed in distributed environment within the network. Main research task is to analyze characteristics of commercial database and determine possibility of its integration into existing telecommunication system. Since switching system works constantly, therefore the database that stores data from newly added service should be available 24x7. The database should work in real-time. The decision to integrate commercial database into switching system brought some problems in its realization. It was needed to distinguish events from switching node to its subtype that need response in real-time (with hard and soft real-time constraints). Because Oracle database has difficulties with meeting the real-time requirements new in-memory database was introduced. In-memory database has subset of data from Oracle database, and has possibility to work in soft real-time mode so it can meet constraints on execution time. There were also other requirements which should be satisfied for successful implementation of service in switching system. Architecture of distributed system that implements services for call surveillance is shown. The measurement results showed us that these changes satisfy needed requirements.
