Abstract

Jedan od osnovnih problema obrade signala malih amplituda predstavlja pojava šuma. Ovdje se analizira djelovanje šuma u elektroničkim filtrima. Pokazuje se da će razinu šuma odrediti aktivni element kojim je filtar građen i odabrana sekcija drugog reda, a kod filtara viših redova i sama struktura filtra. Utjecaj šuma je određen spektralnom gustoćom napona šuma iz koje su izračunati efektivna vrijednost napona šuma i dinamički opseg. Proračun je izvršen pomoću matematičkog programskog alata MATLAB, a dobivene karakteristike su provjerene programom za simulaciju električkih mreža PSPICE.
U drugom poglavlju je opisan šum kao fizikalna pojava, navedene su vrste šuma i izvori šuma i ukratko opisani parametri kojima opisujemo šum. Treće i četvrto poglavlje opisuje šum nisko-propusnih (NP) odnosno pojasno-propusnih (PP) filtarskih sekcija drugog reda. Pri tome su odabrane četiri različite izvedbe sa strminskim pojačalom i jedna sekcija s operacijskim pojačalom. Dane su relacije za proračun i prikazane su karakteristike spektralnih gustoća napona šuma i izračunate su pripadne efektivne vrijednosti napona šuma za pet različitih Q-faktora. Provedena je analiza dinamičkog opsega. Na kraju je izvršeno vrednovanje i objavljena su postignuta saznanja koja su odredila sekciju korištenu pri izradi filtarskih struktura osmog reda. Pokazalo se da najbolje rezultate daje opća sekcija sa strminskim pojačalom.
Peto i šesto poglavlje prikazuje analizu šuma u filtrima osmog reda. Razmatrane su kaskadna struktura i kaskada bikvarta u NP filtrima kojima su pridodane Follow the Leader Feedback i Leap Frog strukture u analizi PP filtara. Određeni su šumni doprinosi svakog izvora šuma na izlazu iz strukture te su izračunati šumni parametri. Izvršena je optimizacija dinamičkog opsega strukture. Na kraju je dana usporedba struktura koja je pokazala da najmanji šum ima Leap Frog struktura izvedena općom sekcijom sa strminskim pojačalima.
Provedena su istraživanja odredila najbolju sekciju sa strminskim pojačalom i najbolju strukturu ne samo obzirom na šum već uz sveukupna svojstva. Dane su smjernice za korištenje promatranih filtarskih sekcija 2.reda kao građevnog bloka u izvedbi filtarskih struktura viših redova. Navedene su mogućnosti smanjenja utjecaja šuma kod dizajniranja elektroničkog filtra. Glavni doprinos ovog istraživanja je precizno određen dinamički opseg i definirane granice uporabe filtara izvedenih strminskim pojačalima. Primjena izvedenih filtara je u obradi govora i glazbe, sustavima upravljanja, instrumentaciji, za spektralnu analizu signala malih amplituda, sintezu nelinearnih mreža i drugdje gdje se javlja potreba za upravljivim filtrom.

Abstract (english)

One of the basic problem in the low level signal processing is noise. The noise effect in the electronic filters is described. It is shown that the noise level will be determined by the active element and used the second order section, in the higher order filters also with the structure. The noise is determined by the noise voltage spectral density from which are calculated the rms noise voltage and dynamic range. Calculation is done by the mathematics programming tool MATLAB and the obtained characteristics are confirmed by the electric circuits simulation programming tool PSPICE.
In the second chapter the noise as physical phenomenon is described through the noise types, sources and parameters which characterizes noise. The third and the fourth chapter deal with low-pass (LP) and band-pass (BP) second order filter sections. The four different designs using transconductance amplifier and one using operational amplifier are presented. The expressions for calculation and the plotted characteristics of the noise voltage spectral density and the corresponding calculated rms noise voltage are given for five different pole Q-factors. The dynamic range analysis is done. In the end the valorization of the obtained results is done. Following this the best result gives the general section with transconductance amplifiers and this section is taken for designing the eight order filter structures.
The fifth and the sixth chapter give noise analysis in the eight order filters. The cascade structure and the biquart cascade structure of the low-pass filters and two more structures, Follow the Leader Feedback and Leap Frog, of the band-pass filters are analyzed. The noise contributions on the end of structure of every noise source generated inside are derived and the noise parameters are calculated. The structure dynamic range optimization is done. In the end comparison of described structures is done where follows the lowest noise in the Leap Frog structure designed using the general 2nd order section with the transconductance amplifiers.
The researching done in this work takes out the best 2nd order section and the best structure with the transconductance amplifiers. The directions for designing the higher-order filters using the 2nd order sections as building block are given. The main contribution of this researching is precisely determinate dynamic range and limitations using filters with the transconductance amplifiers. Possible applications of the described filters are in speech and music processing, control systems, instrumentations, small signal spectral analysis, nonlinear network synthesis and anywhere where the controlled filter is needed.
