Abstract

U ovom radu opisana je izrada programskog rješenja za prepoznavanje numeričkih podataka u slikama te teorijska pozadina korištenih metoda i tehnologija. Za prepoznavanje brojeva u slici, pomoću programskog jezika Python i biblioteke Tensorflow izgrađena je konvolucijska neuronska mreža. Osim izrade mreže, važan korak prije detekcije bio je predobrada slike, a za treniranje i testiranje mreže generiran je set od ukupno 50000 slika brojeva. Tako utrenirana mreža postigla je učinak od 100% na setu podataka za testiranje, te 99.52% na setu ručno označenih podataka iz slika matematičkih zadataka nastalih kamerom mobilnog telefona.

Abstract (english)

In this thesis it is described development of software solution for recognition of numerical data in images, and theoretical background of used technologies and methods. For character recognition, convolutional neural network is made using Python programming language and Tensorflow library. Important step before detection is image pre-processing, and for training of neural network, set of 50000 number images is generated. After training, network correctly recognized 100% of test images, and 99.52% of hand labeled numbers from images of mathematical problem taken with smartphone camera.
