Abstract

Tema ovog rada je testiranje programske podrške s naglaskom na praktičnu primjenu testiranja robusnosti sustava. Rad je podijeljen u tri dijela. U prvom dijelu je teoretski obrađeno testiranje programske podrške. Pojašnjeno je što je to testiranje i zašto se provodi, koje sve vrste i pristupi testiranju postoje i u kojim se situacijama primjenjuju. Drugi se dio rada bavi robusnošću programske podrške. Objašnjeno je zašto je bitno testirati robusnost sustava te koji se sve pristupi koriste. Opisani su postojeći alati za testiranje robusnosti te je dana njihova usporedba. U trećem dijelu rada je pokazan praktični primjer testiranja robusnosti napravljen u kompaniji Ericsson Nikola Tesla. Koristeći Ericssonov automatizirani testni alat testirana je programska podrška za bazne stanice telekomunikacijske platforme. Detaljno su opisani provedeni koraci te dobiveni rezultati. Na kraju su komentirani zaključci nastali na temelju rezultata.

Abstract (english)

Topic of this thesis is software testing with special attention paid to practical application of software robustness testing. Thesis has three main parts. In first part theoretical view is given on software testing. It is described what testing is and why is it used, what sorts and approaches to testing exist and when are they applicable. Second part is based on software robustness testing. Importance of robustness testing is explained along with different approaches to tackle it. Most used robustness testing tools are described and compared. In third part practical example of robustness testing is shown which was made in Ericsson Nikola Tesla company. Base station software in telecommunication platform was tested using Ericsson’s automatization testing tool. All performed steps are described as well as testing results. At the end there is discussion of obtained conclusions.
