Abstract

Središnja informacija za Sustav upravljanja baterijskim paketima (BMS) su unutarnja stanja svake baterijske ćelije u baterijskom paketu. Najvažnije stanje baterijske ćelije je Stanje napunjenosti (SoC). Rad je usmjeren na estimaciju unutarnjih stanja baterijske ćelije Kalman filtrom nezaćinjenim derivacijama (Unscente Kalman Filterom-UKF). To je estimator koji koristi informaciju o trenutnim stanjima da bi predvidio estimat stanja u idućem koraku. Prvi je dio UKF algoritma osvježavanje, odnosno korekcija predviđenih vrijednosti stanja i matrice kovarijanci stanja iz prošlog koraka. Taj je dio vremenski kritičan jer mora biti izvršen u trenu prelaska u novi korak, čim se pojavi nova mjerena vrijednost. Za razliku od prvog djela, drugi dio UKF estimacije je vremenski nekritičan te se može izvršavati čitavo preostalo vrijeme trenutnog koraka. Najveća prednost estimacije stanja UKF estimatorom, za razliku od drugih Kalman filtara je mogućnost korištenja konačkog broja točaka (sigma točaka) da bi se kroz nelinearni sustav čim vjernije prenjela srednja vrijednost i matrica kovarijanci estimata stanja. Procesna složenost UKF estimatora je gotovo jednaka složenosti Extended Kalman filtra EKF.

Abstract (english)

The crucial information for Battery Management Systems (BMS) are the internal states of every battery cell in the battery pack, most of all State of Charge (SoC). The thesis is focused on internal state estimation via Unscented Kalman filter (UKF), an estimation algorithm that uses information about the current state to predict states for the next step. First step of the UKF is the state update where the states and their covariance matrix are being corrected. It is time critical because it is performed on the rising edge of every cycle. Such simple algebra is performed almost instantaneously while compared to the second step that is not time critical and can be performed for the rest of the cycle. The biggest advantage of estimating states via UKF instead of other Kalman filters is the ability to use a definite number of points to transfer, through a nonlinear system, the mean and covariance of state estimates. Its computing complexity is about the same as the complexity of an Extended Kalman filter EKF.
