Abstract

Podrška različitim uslugama u bežičnim mrežama u velikoj mjeri ovisi o broju i rasporedu točaka višestrukog pristupa. Broj pristupnih točaka i njihov raspored unutar bežične mreže ovisi o odabranom modelu za proračun pokrivanja.
U radu su istraženi matematički modeli, stohastički i empirijski, za proračun pokrivanja u bežičnim mrežama. Opisani su postojeći modeli te na osnovu njihovih svojstava odabran najpovoljniji model za proračun pokrivanja u testnoj bežičnoj mreži.
Kao odgovarajući model za proračun pokrivanja u testnoj bežičnoj mreži, laboratoriju i hodniku Zavoda za telekomunikacije, odabran je log-udaljenosti model. Ustanovljeno je da je pogodan za unutarnje prostore i da se dodatno može unaprijediti mjerenjima kojim se dolazi do realnije vrijednosti koeficijenta prigušenja n.

Abstract (english)

Support for a variety of services in wireless networks largely depends on the number and distribution of multiple access points. The number of access points and their distribution within the wireless network depends on the model chosen for the calculation of coverage.
This thesis presents the mathematical models (stochastic and empirical) for the calculation of coverage in wireless networks. The existing models are described and based on their characteristics the most suitable model is selected for the calculation of coverage in the test wireless network.
The log-distance model is selected as an appropriate model for calculating the coverage of test wireless network (the laboratory and the hall of the Institute for Telecommunications). It has been found that it is suitable for indoor and that it can be further improved by the measurements, which leads to more realistic values of path loss exponent n.
