Abstract

Diplomski rad opisuje izradu aplikacije za vizualizaciju nadzora podatkovnih centara temeljenu na 42ITy projektu koji ima podršku za nadzor parametara podatkovnih centara, ali su podaci dostupni samo u tekstualnom obliku.
Na početku radu su opisane tehnologije i alati koji su bili potrebni za izgradnju aplikacije. Spomenuti su React, JSX sintaksa, VirtualDOM, Redux, Node.js i Three.js.
Nakon toga opisan je projekt 42ITy na čijim podacima i sučelju se temelji cijela aplikacija. Kroz prikaze arhitekture i tekstualne opise, objašnjene su prednosti i nedostaci projekta te mogućnosti koje nudi.
U poglavlju nakon, prikazana je stranica za prijavu u aplikaciju i pojašnjeni su dijelovi stranice, kao i prednosti i nedostaci same stranice.
U središnjem dijelu rada se detaljno opisuju koraci nastanka i izgled aplikacije nakon svakog koraka. Da bi se mogli vidjeti modeli koje je potrebno pozicionirati u prostor, prvo je potrebno dodati kameru i osvjetljenje u scenu. Nakon toga se dodaje kvadar koji predstavlja poslužiteljsku sobu. Unutar tog kvadra dodaju se kvadri koji predstavljaju poslužiteljske ormare. Unutar poslužiteljskih ormara, dodaju se kvadri koji predstavljaju poslužitelje. Također je pojašnjeno preslikavanje tekstura na objekte i opisani su svi problemi s kojima se susretalo.
Na kraju rada se nalaze upute za instalaciju svih potrebnih alata za funkcioniranje aplikacije kao i za samo pokretanje aplikacije.

Abstract (english)

The thesis describes development of application used for visualization of data centers monitoring. The application development is based on 42ITy project, which has support for monitoring of different parameters of data centers, but all data provided by that project support is available only in text format.
Technologies and tools used for application development are described at beginning of thesis. That description includes React, JSX syntax, VirtualDOM, Redux, Node.js and Three.js.
Subsequently, capabilities, advantages and disadvantages of 42ITy project are described through the architecture scheme and the textual descriptions.
In the next chapter, the application sign-in page and its sections are explained, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the page itself.
Steps of software development and layout design of application are in detail explained in the middle part of thesis. Each development and design step is described chronologically how they was implemented. Before any model could be visible on scene when positioned, it is required to add camera and background light. After base scene setup, the server room is added which in this example is presented as square model. Inside of that server room multiple square models are added which in this case are presenting server racks. Inside of every server rack, multiple square models are added, and in this case those squares are presenting server units. It is also explaining object texture mapping and describing all problems that appeared while implementing previously mentioned example.
At the end of the thesis, there is installation guide for all necessary tools needed for proper running of the application.
