Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada bila je osmišljavanje sustava za upravljanje velikim skupovima podataka dobivenih kroz sustav senzora MySignals.
Kako bi se ispunio zadatak, bilo je potrebno osmisliti arhitekturu transakcijske baze podataka za pohranjivanje mjernih parametara senzora te korisnih informacija koje idu uz njih. Isto tako je bilo potrebno implementirati i bazu privremenog područja, a potom i skladište podataka.
Također je u sklopu rada osmišljen i kompletan ETL proces za izvlačenje, transformaciju te učitavanje podataka i to prvo iz transakcijske u privremenu bazu, a zatim iz privremene baze u skladište podataka. Kako bi podaci ostali ažurirani u skladištu podataka, ETL proces se treba periodički izvršavati u nekom razdoblju.
Rezultat rada je uspješno izveden sustav upravljanja podacima, koji kao završni proizvod korisniku prezentira skupljene podatke na njemu privlačan i razumljiv način kroz interaktivno sučelje.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this master thesis was designing a big data management system for data obtained through the MySignals sensor system.
In order to fulfill the task, it was necessary to create the architecture of the transactional database to store the sensor parameter parameters and the useful information that go along with them. Also, it was necessary to implement the staging area database, and then the data warehouse. In addition, one of the requirements was design of a complete ETL process for extracting, transforming and loading data, which is initiated from the transactional to the staging database and then from the staging to the data warehouse. To keep the data updated in the data warehouse, the ETL process should be periodically executed in a given period.
The result of the thesis is a successful data management system, which presents the collected data to the user as an attractive and comprehensible way through an interactive interface.
