Abstract

U ovom radu je prikazano upravljanje balastnim teretom male hidroelektrane. Opisane
su najvažnije komponente male hidroelektrane. Objašnjen je rad asinkronih generatora
priključenih na mrežu i u otočnom pogonu, te potreba za balastnim teretom
kod malih hidroelektrana bez regulacije protoka. Napravljen je model upravljanja balastnim
teretom koji je izveden kao trofazna otporna kaskada hlađena vodom za mikro
hidroelektranu nazivne snage 100 kW bez turbinskog regulatora protoka koja radi u
otočnom pogonu. Upravljanje balastnim teretom snage 48 kW izvedeno je pomoću
programabilnog logičkog kontrolera marke Eaton koji ima zadaću održavati opterećenje
turbine na nazivnoj vrijednosti u granicama +/-4 kW. Za programiranje algoritma
korišten je EASY-SOFT softver.

Abstract (english)

This paper presents ballast load control for small hydropower plants. Parts of a
small scale hydropower facility are described. Performance of the induction generators
while connected to the grid as well as when operating in islanding mode is shown.
Also importance of ballast load is described for small hydropower plants without flow
control turbine governors. The focus of this paper is modeling of ballast load control
for micro hydro with a power rating of 100 kW. The balance load resistors are water
cooled and micro hydro is operating in stand-alone mode. Ballast load controller is
implemented using Eaton’s programmable logic controller. The main task of this PLC
is to maintain constant generator load within +/-4 kW. EASY-SOFT programming software
is used to program controller.
