Abstract

Završni rad se bavi elementima igara u edukaciji kao i edukativnim igrama te implementacijom elemenata igre u postojeće edukacijsko rješenje za savladavanje pojmova kalendara. U slobodno vrijeme, mnogi učenici igraju računalne igre u svrhu zabave i opuštanja. Računalne igre u obrazovanju nov su i inovativan način da se učenike motivira u postizanju boljih rezultata u obrazovanju. Da bi se igra smatrala doprinosom razvoja i edukacije učenika, mora biti pažljivo odabrane tematike i sadržaja koji potiču i motiviraju učenika te ga istovremeno uče činjenicama i rješavanju problema. Kroz navedene primjere igara posebno se i pojedinačno ističu neke od kvaliteta koje određene igre posjeduju te na koji način doprinose razvoju učenika. Igre koje se svrstavaju u kategoriju edukativnih igara, za razliku od igara s edukativnim elementima, moraju biti prilagođene za integraciju s obrazovnim sustavom u kojem se koriste da bi se smatrale korisnima kao dopunsko gradivo nastavi. Jedna od glavnih činjenica koju rad ističe jest da su igre ponekad i bolji način za učenje određenog tipa gradiva nego tradicionalni načini učenja. Kroz implementaciju elemenata igre u aplikaciju ICT-AAC Vremenski vrtuljak primjenjuje se navedeno teorijsko znanje stečeno proučavanjem zadane problematike te pažljivo odabire dizajn i elementi prikladni za transformaciju aplikacije iz edukacijskog rješenja u aplikaciju s dodanim edukativnim igrama. Dodane igre u aplikaciji zasigurno će pomoći djeci da na zanimljiv način savladaju pojmove kalendara te utvrde gradivo putem igre.

Abstract (english)

Final assigment deals with the elements of games in education, educational games and implementiation of game elements in an existing educational solution for learning calendar concepts. In leisure time, many students play computer games for fun and relaxation purposes. Computer games in education are new and innovative ways to motivate students to achieve better results in education. In order for the game to be seen as contributing to the development and education of students, it is necessary to carefully select the themes and content that encourage and motivate students, and at the same time learn the facts and solve the problem. Through the above-mentioned examples of games, some of the qualities that certain games possess and how they contribute to the development of students are being pointed out. Games that fall into the category of educational games, as opposed to games with educational elements, must be adapted to the integration with the educational system in which they are used to be considered useful as a supplementary course of study. One of the main facts of the paper is that games are sometimes a better way to learn a certain type of material than traditional ways of learning. Through the implementation of the game elements in the application „ICT-AAC Vremenski vrtuljak“ the aforementioned theoretical knowledge is being applied, gained by studying the assigned problem and carefully selecting the design and elements suitable for transforming the application from the educational solution into the application with the added educational games. Added games in the application will surely help kids master the calendar concepts in an interesting way.
