Abstract

Društvene mreže nude veliku količinu informacija o njezinim korisnicima. Koristeći dostupne podatke moguće je provesti različite analize koje daju dublji smisao strukturi jedne takve mreže. Razvijeni su brojni algoritmi koji omogućuju formiranje, vizualizaciju te računanje različitih mjera mreže. Najčešće se analiza provodi na velikom skupu podataka, a to znači kako se određeni algoritmi za analizu mreža neće moći koristiti, pa je potrebno istražiti koji alternativni algoritmi i tehnologije mogu riješiti problem rada s velikim podacima.
U ovom radu središnji dio istraživanja su algoritmi za analizu društvenih mreža koji omogućuju otkrivanje zajednica u mrežama te mjerenje njihovih performansi u slučaju sekvencijalne i paralelne implementacije.

Abstract (english)

Social networks have large amount of data about their users. Available data can be used to analyze these types of networks to get deeper insight to their structure. There are many algorithms that are used to form, visualize and compute different network measures. In most cases analysis is performed on large datasets and some of the available algorithms will not be suitable, hence it is important to find alternative algorithms and technologies that can solve this problem.
Main part of this paper are social network analysis algorithms that are used to detect communities in social networks and their sequential and parallel performance.
