Abstract

Ovaj rad implementira sustav za generiranje LaTeX koda iz slike matematičkog izraza. Pristup korišten u radu je drugačiji od standardnih pristupa jer koristi nove tehnike iz područja konvolucijskih i povratnih neuronskih mreža. Zbog toga model ne treba unaprijed ništa znati o parsiranju jezika. Model koristi konvolucijsku neuronsku mrežu za izdvajanje vizualnih značajki koje predaje modelu strojnog prevođenja koji je baziran na mehanizmu pažnje. Model je učen i testiran na skupu podataka koji se sastoji od matematičkih izraza koji su skupljeni iz raznih znanstvenih članaka te izvornog LaTeX koda za odgovarajući matematički izraz. Sustav se pokazao zadovoljavajućim s točnošću od 56.66%.

Abstract (english)

This thesis implements LaTeX-code generation from mathematical expression image system. Method used in the thesis is different than standard approaches because it uses state-of-the-art techniques from both convolutional neural networks and recurrent neural networks areas. The model does not require any knowledge of underlying LaTeX language. The model employs a convolutional neural network for visual features extractions in tandem with attention-based neural-machine translation system. The model is trained and tested on a dataset which consists of mathematical expression from various scientific articles and the corresponding LaTeX source code. The system turned out to be effective and has accuracy 56.66%.
